These shows not only captured the hearts of its target audience, but had elements and concepts that still are relevant and engaging today!
Episode 3:The Real Ghostbusters - An Emmy-Nominated American animated television series based on the hit 1984 film Ghostbusters. The series ran from 1986 to 1991, and was produced by Columbia Pictures Television (now Sony Pictures Television), DiC Entertainment and Coca-Cola Telecommunications. The series continues the adventures of paranormal investigators Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Dr. Ray Stantz, their secretary Janine Melnitz and their mascot ghost Slimer. In 1988 during the show's six year run it was retooled with the Slimer! series that was sandwiched around The Real Ghostbusters and was titled Slimer! and The Real Ghostbusters.

Episode 2 Captain Planet: "Captain Planet and the Planeteers" is an American animated environmentalist television program, based on an idea by Ted Turner and Robert Larkin III about five teenagers who are all given magic rings by Gaia, the Spirit of Earth. Kwame from Africa, Wheeler from North America, Linka from Soviet Union (changed to Eastern Europe after the Soviet Union's collapse), Gi from Asia and Ma-Ti from South America. When the powers of the five rings are combined (Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Heart), an environmental superhero, Captain Planet, is summoned. It ran episodes from September 10, 1990 until December 5, 1992. A sequel series, The New Adventures of Captain Planet, ran for three seasons.

Episode 1 Bucky O'Hare: Freethought & Skillit discuss and review "Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars" conceived in the mid-'80s as a comic book by writer Larry Hama and comic book artist Michael Golden between 1977 and 1978 about a green anthropomorphic hare who, with his crew of other mammals (including one human), fought toads in an intergalactic space war. In 1991, it became a animated TV series that ran for 13 episodes.
